It is important to note that 100% of the funds that reach us go toward what the funds are intended to help us with... be it our programs, educational materials, property maintenance or RESTORATION. HFHS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operated by a volunteer Board of Directors. We have no admin fees, stipends or salary structure. Make every dollar donated count... AVOID THE CREDIT CARD PROCESSING FEES! Most non-profits can use the extra dollars spent on third-party processing fees. Using a credit card through GTM takes 7% of the donation while our own website (linked) uses a PayPal site that takes 2%... better but... IF you are interested in avoiding processing fees completely, consider sending us a check for the amount of your donation made payable to "Hill Farm Historical Society" and mailed to us at 35 Hill Farm Circle, North Oaks, MN 55127. Please include your contact information with the check so we can acknowledge your donation and send you a tax-deductibility letter.

We are pleased to announce that our 2024 Spring Dinner will be held the evening of May 17th at the North Oaks Golf Club. The social hour will begin at 5:30 PM with dinner at 6:30 PM. Following the dinner we will hear from our guest speaker, author and historian Jim Stolpestad. Mr. Stolpestad is author of Great Northern Iron: James J. Hill’s 109-Year Mining Trust. This is a fascinating story about the Great Northern Iron Ore Properties Trust, the brainchild of James J. Hill and his son in response to the Federal Government’s trust-busting efforts personally directed by President Teddy Roosevelt. Two long-time residents of North Oaks played important roles in the creation and termination of the Trust. One in creation of the trust and one in the termination of the trust
2024 Spring Dinner is full! Thank you for your support!
